What is my case worth?

None of the good attorneys I know would even consider giving a dollar figure (or even a range) after only hearing you talk about your injuries and damages for the simple reason that good attorneys know that a case value cannot be calculated until that law firm obtains and analyzes all of your medical records/bills, investigates the facts, evidence, and prospective testimony related to your case, etc. which takes time to do properly.

Additionally, all of the good attorneys I know remind their clients repeatedly during the course of a case that there are no guarantees as to what the case is worth as these attorneys continually try to ground their clients in reality, not wanting to raise their client's expectations only to possibly have them dashed later.

So, if an attorney tells you during an initial conference that your case is worth a certain amount before they fully obtain all the facts, information, evidence, etc. related to your case, chances are more likely than not that they are merely dangling the "golden carrot" in front of you to pressure you into signing a fee contract with their firm.
